Quick Menu

The Quick Menu is a draggable floating button that gives you fast, in-place control of your running locomotives — plus a command prompt for jumping to anything else — from any page in the Throttle app. It appears whenever you are logged in and have a layout selected.

The FAB

The Quick Menu button displays the DEJA.js "D" logo and floats above all page content. You can:

  • Tap to open the menu panel.
  • Drag to reposition the button anywhere along the edge of the screen. Your position is remembered across sessions.

When the menu is open, the logo changes to an close icon. Tapping outside the panel, tapping the button again, or starting a drag closes the menu. The panel opens to whichever side of the button has room, so it always stays fully visible.

The Panel

The panel is a compact card with up to three stacked sections.

Active Throttles

The top section lists every locomotive you currently have a throttle for. Each row is a mini throttle control showing:

  • The locomotive's address plate (#3) and name.
  • A stop button, −5 and +5 speed buttons flanking the current speed readout, and an eject button to park (release) the locomotive.

Tapping the row itself jumps to that locomotive's full Throttle Control screen.

When you have no locomotives running, the section shows an empty state. Two actions let you add one without leaving the page:

  • By Address — type a DCC address to acquire that locomotive directly.
  • From Roster — pick an available locomotive from your roster.

Favorites

If the Quick Menu Favorites feature flag is enabled, a favorites section appears below the throttle list for pinning frequently used items.

Command Prompt

At the bottom, a "What do you want to do?" input opens the command palette with whatever you type. Use it to search for and jump to any page, locomotive, or action — a keyboard-friendly shortcut to everywhere else in the app.

Visibility

The Quick Menu is visible on every page in the Throttle app as long as:

  1. You are logged in.
  2. A layout is selected.

You can toggle Quick Menu visibility from the Settings page.
