Cloud Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first thing you see when you open the Cloud app. It is your layout's connection hub — showing status once at the top, your hardware connections, and quick ways to get running.

Layout Status

A single status header shows your layout name and DEJA Server status. It appears exactly once, so you always know at a glance whether your server is online.

Connections

The main panel is a server header band with a device table underneath — one row per device, live status on every one:

  • Server band at the top — a miniature oval track (rails light up when your EX-CommandStation is verified, and a little train orbits while track power is on), plus version, address, heartbeat, uptime, and pills for the WebSocket and MQTT services with a connected-device count. Help links to the device docs, troubleshooting guide, and CLI install live right in the band. If the server stops responding, the band flags it as stale instead of pretending everything is fine.
  • Device rows — your EX-CommandStation always sorts first (with the DCC-EX logo), followed by your IO devices with their type icons. Each row shows the connection kind and path, an honest status badge — VERIFIED (green — the server has real evidence the device is alive), LINKED (amber — linked, but the device hasn't spoken recently), or OFFLINE — an activity sparkline for verified devices, and a live "last seen" age.
  • Automatic connections — WiFi/MQTT devices announce themselves and connect automatically the moment they come online. A Connect button appears only where a decision is needed: USB devices (choose the serial port) and WLED (enter the host address).
  • Device details — click any row to open a side panel with full stats, connect controls, and track power.
  • On phones, the table collapses to simple two-line rows — name and status up top, connection and last-seen below.

If you haven't installed your DEJA Server yet, the band shows the deja start command with a copy button, and a "Set up your railroad" card walks you through the three setup steps — install, deja login (approved in your browser), and deja start.

Command Activity & Quick Launch

Alongside the connection panel, the dashboard shows a live command-activity chart and a QR code to launch the Throttle app on a phone or tablet — scan it to open the throttle on mobile, already pointed at your layout.

Navigation

Use the sidebar to jump to any section — Roster, Turnouts, Routes, Effects, Signals, Sounds, Devices, Sensors, DCC-EX, and Settings.
